Members can choose from three contribution categories under the Pension Plan.
You can choose from three contribution categories in the Pension Plan. Category 1 is the default category for contributions. Insureds can change their contribution category at any time provided that they retain the new one for at least one year. The amount selected is paid into the insured's individual retirement account in the form of a retirement credit and is deducted directly from the insured's salary.
Please note that in the event of an illness or accident resulting in long-term incapacity to work after the employer's obligation to continue paying your salary, you are only exempt from contributions to the pension fund for the percentage of your personal savings contributions that you have chosen. If you have chosen a category 2 or 3 contribution, the exemption will only be granted to the corresponding 4.8% or 0% and can no longer be changed.
The employer pays a maximum retirement credit amounting to 9.5% of the insured salary for persons aged 20 to 24 in all contribution categories and 18.5% of the insured salary for persons aged 25 and over in all contribution categories.
