Stiftungsrat

Due to its legal form as a foundation, the Pension Fund Swiss Re is a legal entity in its own right and therefore operates independently.

The Pension Fund Board is the supreme governing body of the Pension Fund Swiss Re. Its members are elected for a term of three years. The current term started on 1 January 2024 and will end on 31 December 2026. An equal  number of employees representatives and employers representatives sit on the Board.

Due to the existing structure (Pension Fund with several affiliated companies), the elections to the Pension Fund Board were held based on the electoral regulations - Appendix E to the plan regulations.

The Pension Fund Board elects a Managing Director.

The Pension Fund Board is entrusted with the following duties:

  • issuing and making amendments to the Pension Fund regulations;
  • setting an asset allocation strategy;
  • monitoring management and asset allocation.
